Shoreline Sights is a low relief scenic panel that highlights some of the integral elements of Long Island Sound. I am a self-taught artist working in salvaged materials and this piece reflects an intuitive approach and a lighthearted folk art style. My work often reflects working class and environmental issues.
About the Artist
Brian Walters is a sculptor based in Connecticut whose work has been exhibited nationally. He has received two public art commissions for the city of Waterbury, Connecticut and his work can be found in the permanent collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art. In 2020 Walters was a recipient of an Arts Hero Award by the Connecticut Office of the Arts. The artist had a solo exhibition of his Urban Totem series at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut.
